The Contribution Of Modern Architecture To The Environment

Information

With the continuous improvement of modern science and technology, people's lives are getting better and better. However, while people enjoy a high standard of living, they should also have some sense of responsibility and task. What can we do for the planet we live on? Should we do a better job of protecting our planet? That is why more and more environmentally friendly urban buildings are coming to people's attention. These buildings make a great contribution to "ecological conservation".

In the following, I will introduce some outstanding environmentally friendly urban buildings.

1. Raffles City Chengdu

Raffles City Chengdu was built on the site of the former Sichuan History Museum with an investment of CNY 4 billion. Covering a construction area of more than 300,000 square meters, the building employs energy-saving and environmentally friendly measures such as geothermal heat pump heating and cooling systems, heat recovery systems, cold and hot water storage, reuse of treated water, and the use of renewable energy such as solar power. The energy-saving low-radiation hollow glass installed on the exterior wall can perfectly combine the high light attractiveness of glass with the low power of solar heat, reducing the energy consumption of the building by more than 70% and saving more than one million CNY of energy for air conditioning every year.

2. Hangzhou Museum of Low Carbon Science and Technology

The Hangzhou Low Carbon Science and Technology Museum, with a total area of 33,656 square meters, is a large-scale science and technology museum with "low carbon" as its theme. It is a public, non-profit, popular science education institution that combines the functions of popularizing low carbon technologies, exhibiting green buildings, academic exchanges on low carbon technologies, and disseminating information on low carbon technologies. The building structure of the Science and Technology Museum uses energy-saving technologies such as solar energy and photovoltaic integration, daylight harvesting and green lighting technology, water heat pumps and ice cooling, and the internal exhibition materials and structures, exhibition materials and manufacturing processes are all environmentally friendly and low-carbon. At present, it has obtained the "three-star green building design certificate" issued by the Ministry of Housing and Rural Development.

3. Tsinghua Environmental Energy Saving Building

The Tsinghua Environmental Energy Saving Building is a joint venture between the Italian and Chinese governments. It is located on the campus of Tsinghua College and has a total area of 20,000 square meters. It is an intelligent office building for teaching and research that integrates the concepts of environment, ecology, conservation and energy saving. It integrates and uses the world's most advanced technologies, materials and equipment, such as natural ventilation, natural lighting, low-consumption building envelope, solar power generation, reclaimed water utilization, environmentally friendly building materials and intelligent control, and carries out a fully energy-saving design through key areas such as building design, equipment and material selection, construction, operation and management. Preliminary calculations indicate that the building will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1,200 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions by 5 tons per year.

4. Nanjing Green Lighthouse

Nanjing Green Lighthouse was completed in July 2015 in Nanjing High-tech Zone, with a land area of 9,456 square meters and a design height of 23.45 meters. The building is a demonstration project of cooperation between China and Denmark, and the cylindrical shape of the lighthouse is inspired by the green lighthouse of the University of Copenhagen in Denmark. The lighthouse is energy-efficient with all-round daylight from the top and all sides, balanced by sustainable and innovative architectural design methods. The building design adopts a steel concrete structure, the exterior walls and windows are precisely designed, and the overall building also fully collects and utilizes natural resources such as rainwater and wind energy, and adopts a new ground source heat pump technology to achieve the ultimate energy saving and consumption reduction.

5. Landsea "Brook" Hotel

Located in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, Landsea "Brook" is the first passive architecture designed and built according to the hot summer and cold winter climate in the Yangtze River Delta region of China. The building brings together many construction, design and consulting units such as Landsea Green Real Estate, German Energy Agency, German Passive House Institute, Peterruger Design Office, Landsea Technology, etc., and has been awarded China Green Building Three Stars, German DGNB Gold Award Certification and Passive Architecture Certification. The building is built to meet the comfort requirements of people's living and the minimum energy saving standards, using passive architecture technology, through its own space form, envelope, building materials and structural design, to achieve building energy saving, compared with its traditional buildings, passive architecture can save 95% of energy.

"Environmental protection" has become an important issue that everyone and every company should care about. With the vision of "smart energy and low-carbon earth", Foxtheon Energy hopes to create a low-carbon, green and ecological environment together with customers from all over the world.
